On 1-2 Juny, 2017 Mineralogical Society of Georgia and Georgian Technical University convene International Scientific-practical Conference on up-to-date problems of Geology: „POWER OF GEOLOGY IS THE PRECONDITION FOR REGENERATION OF ECONOMICS”.

In 2015, First Scientific-Practical Conference
On April 23-24, 2015, in G.Nikoladze Assembly Hall of the Georgian Technical University Georgian Mineralogical Society and Georgian Technical University held the first scientific-practical conference dedicated to the present problems of geology in Georgia.
At the conference there were presented 27 papers generally concerning the activity of geological surveys, period of time passed by the Mineralogical Society, the country's mineral-resource base condition, environmental and legal aspects, issues of Mineralogy and Petrography.

The Conference of the series - “RESOURCE-REPRODUCING, LOW-WASTE and ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGIES for EXPLOITATION of MINERAL RESOURCES” is a scientific event, having been founded in Russia since 2001 and attracted lots of representatives of industrial and academic circles from Europe and Asia.
